The challenge of NEPTUNE EVOLUTION lies in strengthening and integrating the transnational network of submerged pilot sites (blue trails) of high natural interest, managed and enjoyed in a sustainable way, thus enhancing the entire transnational area. The aim is to consolidate the tools for monitoring, preservation and valorisation of the submerged natural heritage, making it more accessible and available at transnational level, and ultimately to “evolve” towards technological innovation, enabling virtual 3D diving of the entire transnational area. With NEPTUNE EVOLUTION, it is also intended to formalize the network of collaboration between public and private partners operating in the field of study, valorisation and sustainability of the submerged environment connected to transnational diving activities, creating a real cooperation network.
